The professional services undertaken by ESPC include the conduct of sensitive investigations, obtaining confidential information and evidence, and reporting on that material. Other services involve receipt and consideration of sensitive personal information. All services are undertaken in strict confidence.

Collection of Personal Information
The very nature of our business involves the collection of personal and sensitive information. We will collect personal information only by lawful and fair means and not in an unreasonably intrusive way.
This information is used by us only for the purposes of conducting our business and may be given to our client or our client’s lawyers. Where our client collects personal information that is passed on to us, that information is also held by us in confidence.
Use & Disclosure of Personal Information
We may disclose personal information but only for the purposes for which it was collected. We are contractually bound by confidentiality and non disclosure agreements with our clients and are prohibited from using the information for any other purpose. Our employees and representatives are bound by the firm’s confidentiality obligations and privacy policy.
Information Security
We take reasonable steps to protect all personal information which we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure to unauthorised persons. Information is stored securely. Only those staff with the requisite authority may gain access to the information.
Access and Correction
Any person on whom we hold personal information can request access to information we hold about them at any time. We may charge a reasonable fee where access is provided and access may be subject to reasonable conditions. We may correct any errors contained in the information we hold, at the person’s request. We may also refuse to provide access to information where the National Privacy Principles allow us to do so.

Code of Personal Conduct and Standards for
Employees and Associates
This Code applies to all Associates of ESPC which collectively includes all persons employed or engaged by ESPC, or otherwise involved in services provided by or to ESPC.
- Associates are part of a team and are expected to demonstrate team spirit, loyalty to each other, the Company and its clients, and a commitment to work together within an ethos of personal respect. A sense of humour is valued in our relationships.
- Associates will provide mutual support to achieve the Company’s objectives and client service parameters.
- Associates will be open with ideas, issues and frustrations. Managers and colleagues will be open, receptive and supportive in response.
- Associates will maintain impeccable standards of honesty and integrity in all their dealings with and on behalf of ESPC and each other.
- Associates will at all times treat others with courtesy. They will withdraw from situations that may provoke anger, and seek advice or support.
- Associates will respect and carry out to the best of their ability all reasonable instructions and directions. They will seek, and give, assistance in doing so.
- Systems including office, case management, and communication systems will be adhered to. Associates will not by-pass systems or the persons responsible recognising this creates work for others and compromises our collective delivery performance.
- Clarification and assistance with systems, tasks and services will be sought as required, with a corresponding expectation that managers and peers will respond to such requests in a reasonable and supportive manner.
- Each Associate will take responsibility for their own work and undertake it to the best of their ability.
- Associates will be punctual.
- Associates will dress and present themselves in an appropriate professional manner at all times.
- All case related information is confidential. At all times Associates will ensure it remains so.
- No files, records, documents or information in any form or media relating to the business and operations of ESPC may be removed from its offices without proper authority. Any such material in the possession of Associates must be kept secure and confidential.
- No passwords or other facility for access to ESPC computers, systems or information may be provided by any Associate to any person, nor may any other action be taken that may compromise the security, confidentiality and integrity of any aspect of the systems and business of ESPC.
- No information is to be provided by any Associate in relation to the personal details of any other Associate or their engagement with ESPC without that person’s express authority.
